Senegalese e-health startup Eyone has raised CFA1 billion (US$1.7 million) in funding from Oyass Capital, the investment arm backed by FONSIS.
Founded in 2015 by Henri Ousmane Gueye and John Diatta, Eyone, winner of the Africa’s Business Heroes competition in 2025, has developed a medical interoperability platform that provides healthcare professionals and patients with real-time medical records.
In 2024, the startup collaborated with the Senegalese government to set up the Unique Shared Patient File, a project aimed at ensuring the availability of reliable and secure medical data throughout a patient’s care pathway.
It has now secured US$1.7 million in funding from Oyass Capital, the local VC fund backed by FONSIS, Senegal’s sovereign wealth fund. It is the last investment by Oyass Capital in Eyone, which has also secured funding from SONATEL Group.
